This was our last run through which was going to be recorded live to be used as our final multi-camera production and put on our blogger to be marked by Danielle. There were no technical difficulties or any problems within our recording , everything went according to plan and we fitted the time slot we initially planned.
This also meant we were able to allow the other group to film their multicamera production as well, because we had enough time.
For the other group me Lucy and Dianni were used for their finalised Production

As a whole class we all did another run through again as we heard a feedback from another class as a our audience, this time round we saw a much more bigger improvement within our timing we use to set up the equipment and get our external guest into college quickly ready for production.
It was also much easier as I was also able to be quicker with setting up the cameras for the multicamera and getting the headphones ready for communications with the floor managers is maria.
The cueing from the sound and lights were more faster and easier for the process of our production, and without the presence of teachers or technicians, we could pack away quickly and out equipment into the correct place.

We did a full run through of our we are London  with our eternal guest that we brought in for the show, and we also had an audience from Danielle's class to watch and act as an audience for our show. This almost gave us a real life act feel . Todays run final run through was successful and was a bigger achievement then when we did it a few weeks back, due to the fact that we were now familiar with our roles that we were assigned and also, the timing was much more quicker than before. As for my other group member who were in charge of visual mixing and lights and sound it was much more faster and there was not any slow cues when it came to the sound and lighting.
We also had the chance to hear the accounts of our audience and hear what they had to say about our production, and anything they thought we could change about it

Task 1: website analysis

The target audience for this specific website is females from the ages of 16-24.  The mode of the address in this specific website come under informal, the reason for this is the type of langue the website uses is informal to its target audience. They use a lot of trendy hash tags such as "get the glow" this will apply to the younger generation rather than the adults. Another reason for the mode to fit the target audience is use the images which fits exactly into its genre of a fashion website , the young girls wearing festive seasonal clothing, indicates that it is for females. And the website displays their clothing according to poplar seasons. Whereas this image indicates summer season we can tell from the less layers of clothing being worn and the mini hash tags at the top of the corner.
Anchorage is used here to allow the audience to narrow down on the interpretation the audience would of had when they first look at the website. However pretty little thing already helps he audience to identify what type of website this is due to the captions constantly used in all their images. The first image where it has the captions "shape stassie" this links to the image of the model wearing a dress which enhances her figure the caption allows the audience to identify how the website can be differentiated. This links back to its target audience as, young females will be interested to purchase a dress that brings out their figure.
The use of slide shows and narratives involved attract the audience, by prioritising their slideshow with the most popular trends. This fits its audience as the popular trends apply to what the audience will be interested in looking for.
Pretty little thing is symbolic as their Logo can be identified as it fits the codes and conventions of a typical fashion website. The White bold writing straight away all written together , is used for their website this makes allows the audience to know straight away what website it is. This also indicates that it is for females. And it can be easily Identified through the font they use.

Audiene profiling

Audience profiling

Effects of exposure to explicit sexual or violent content.

For our primary research, our focus group shows us that none of the explicit content that we listed such as, racial comments, sexual scenes, blood violence and others effected those in the class who watched the film because that it what made the film interesting. And it’s known because it was directed by Quentin Tarantino, and that is his style of movies. With the responses for Rush hour, there was not a lot of explicit content shown through the film. This did not affect our audience. As the movie was more comedy based and classified at a suitable age.

Effects of advertising

Through our primary research, our audience answered the questions by saying they watched the trailer which made them interested to watch it. The feedback we received also revealed the use of through online and posters which influenced them to watch the film. Another reason why the advertising affected our focus group to watch the movie was also because of the use, of the popular actors such as Jamie Fox, being a known actor, attracted them to also be interested to watch. Rush hour had an effective advertisement due to the use of online trailers, and billboards. As well as the exposure of two famous actors involved which our feedback showed drawn them to watch the movie.

Health concerns

The responses also indicate even though the film there was no health concerns that affected our audience. Rush hour also didn’t have any effect on health or negative effects towards the audience.

Censorship debates

As Django contained a lot of explicit content and violent scenes, it has been classified by the government with an age range. As our focus group learned that the use of exposure t the scenes can cause a negative effective. Django being rated an 18 film was debated due to the negative effects it could have on a younger viewer.

With Rush hour, the censorship debate classified it as a 15 film. Our audience preferred Rush hour more due to it having less explicit content viewed. And being more family friendly if younger viewers were able to watch.

Responses

Overall the response we received from Django showed that 100% enjoyed watching Django, as 50% of our group liked action films. This indicates a positive response towards the film. Our feedback also shows that Quentin Tarantino films are also enjoyable for the audience, as the use western and action was emerged to create the movie.  The responses we received from rush hour were also positive as, the actors in the film engaged our focus group to be interested to watch it. Another reason for this was also because the genre action comedy was a popular response we received.

Negotiated

In django due to the story behind it, showcasing the story of slavery, the audience negotiated by also saying the negative impact towards the film was the use f violence and the plot twist involved. Bringing a western genre in the film as well which makes the film entertaining to watch, rather than educational. With rush hour being a comedy there were no negotiation through our response , as although it was a crime action, the use of funny and mild adult humour involved made it suitable for the type of movie.

Evaluation

For our multi-cam production the overall process was long but successful. There was a lot of planning that was done in order for the final production to be a success.
At first we gathered into groups to form our initial idea of what our content will be about.
We decided to base our production on the youth and important topics that the youths like to ask.
We called our production " We are london" . Where youth who have been involved in crime have turned their life around to good or used their bad experience to influence the youth of today.

What went well was the process of planning the post production we split up the take between us ensuring each one of us knew exactly what to do and in order to speed up the process. As i was given the role of being behind the camera and planning a risk assessment for the process of our recording I believe i did well as i asked help from my peers if i was stuck on anything. And after every task each one of us individually would share the work we've done onto google drive in order for my team members to also put it on their blog as part of the taks 1 evidence.

During the whole production process there was some difficulties as we group we faced, for example there will be times when member of our group will be missing and they had vital roles meaning the process for our production will be held, causing a slower process. Another negative factor that occurred when it came to going to the studio to record our programme was at first because we had missing content such a props, our auto script and music. Our rehearsal practise wasn't perfect. For our production we wanted to have live performances for our show. Two members of our team were in charge of bringing the live performances and due to the different time tables they had alongside our period. Sometimes it created an issue meaning we had to go ahead and do a run through without our live performances. And this brought issues within our group.

The overall experience was good as we learnt different things about the multi-cam production. And how the multi-cam works in the studio. It was also a good experience because we also were taught how the visual mixer works and how it operated within the multi-cam. Learning how it helps with the smooth running of an multi-cam production.
